Olga Imperial Keegan
Yoga Teacher
Olga’s youngest son, Ian, introduced her to yoga in 2013, the year before he left for college and emptied her nest. After 15 invigorating years of teaching Jazzercise fitness classes, she longed for something more to share with others. She fell in love with yoga philosophy, the fluidity and challenge of vinyasa class, the connection of movement to the breath, and the serenity she felt after yoga practice. Her spirituality became deeper as a result of daily yoga and meditation.
Olga has studied ballet from preschool age to adulthood, was a gymnast in high school, and has been a runner since college. All these disciplines helped her learn to teach the intricacies of yoga asanas and the art of yoga flows with the added dimension of cueing proper alignment and placement of the body for a safe, comfortable practice. Her classes offer fluid movements that integrate the breath and mind while challenging the muscles and body. Like a dance, she enjoys being creative when preparing her vinyasa classes. Olga’s flows have a theme that focuses on several of the chakras with the intent that everyone who takes her classes will leave with a calmness and centering that carries over to daily life.
“When it comes to yoga, I will always be a student first, learning from other teachers and yoga practitioners.” This is Olga’s belief and she is reminded of this each day.
Olga and her husband, Don, love to travel and explore the world and the outdoors. They have 4 grown children: Taylor, Luke, Ian and Alaina. When she is not practicing yoga, Olga has a busy real estate career.
Breathe. Flow. Let go. Namaste!
